New ventures, built from the ground up.
We start AI-native service companies in domains we know, or together with a partner who is an expert in their field.
We believe AI can make professional services better in every aspect. As AI takes on the routine work behind every service, professionals have more time to focus on what matters: developing close relationships, building expertise and finding creative solutions.
We build AI-native service companies around this view.
In an AI-native service company, AI does most of the operational work, unlocking higher-quality services. We build AI-native service companies by founding AI-native service ventures and by enabling existing service firms to become AI-native. We call such companies AINS companies for short.

We help established service firms become AI-native. As strategic partners, we align our incentives with yours and co-own the outcome.
Three things we built for clients.
The accountant judges. AI takes care of the rest.
For a Swiss accounting firm, we built an AI app that turns messy client documents into journal entries. The app reads unstructured documents of all types, such as receipts, bank statements and invoices. It checks them for completeness and compliance, matches them and drafts the journal entries. All on infrastructure built for data protection and professional secrecy in Switzerland. What remains for the accountant is judgement: approving journal entries and discussing unusual cases with their client.

An autonomous trading agent.
We built an AI trading agent that starts from the firm’s current position in each product it trades. It adds market insights from the purchasing team, shared through a market intelligence platform we also built. From these it spots trading opportunities and offers them to existing customers. Our own scraping tool finds the new buyers most likely to say yes. A trader in the loop confirms every deal, and the agent learns from every successful or failed deal.
Built for an agri trading company
Shelf insights, straight from the picture.
We built an AI tool that turns shelf photos into category insights. The tool reads every facing on a convenience store shelf, capturing details such as brand, price, flavour and pack size. The tool builds a database and generates category insights across stores, brands, channels and regions. This leaves the consultant with more time to translate insights to value for the client.

There is no elevator to AI-native service success: you have to climb the ladder.
The AI maturity ladder has five levels. At each level you hand more work to AI, because you have learned how to direct it, how to check it and when to trust it. Each level is earned in practice, with safeguards that work.
A question
AI suggests; the professional produces the work.
A task
AI works with the firm's knowledge, instructions and sources. The professional checks the output.
A workflow
Coordinated agents carry out a workflow. Professionals stay in the loop: they design the agent workflows, investigate issues and update the workflow until the output is right.
A process
An always-on An always-on environment where specialised AI agents work together on one process: building, reviewing, updating and reporting, around the clock. runs within set safeguards, with monitoring and escalation built in. Professionals define the outcomes and safeguards; their only remaining task is to oversee quality. In this stage, the professional is on the loop.
The operation
Connected AI factories run the firm's service operations. People set direction, develop the systems, hold client relationships and remain accountable for outcomes.
We can help you to assess where your firm stands on the ladder and turn that into an AI strategy and roadmap.
You can start small. Different processes within the same firm can sit at different levels.
We help you level up step by step, building on what works and proving the value before committing to expensive, complex systems your firm is not ready to operate.
Take a look at the ladder, and if you want to spar with us on where you stand and what the ladder looks like for your sector, contact us.
Our ladder builds on Steps of AI Adoption, which Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, wrote for software engineering teams. We adapted it for professional services.

We are professional service providers who have each spent more than a decade in our fields. We love to build. We always have, in every role we have held.
With AI, we see the opportunity to rethink how a service company works from the ground up. We founded Emergenic to prove that in practice.

Alwin is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the Netherlands and in Switzerland, with a master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Amsterdam. He spent more than ten years in audit at KPMG in Amsterdam and Zurich, rising to lead a global insurance engagement of more than 70,000 hours. His audits ran efficiently on the latest audit technology, much of which he programmed himself. He also taught more than two hundred finance professionals to code in Python, many of them on his own team, guided by the Data Handbook he wrote. As a result, his teams were practitioners and programmers at once, running complex, highly automated workflows that held up to the regulatory scrutiny of a global audit. At Emergenic he sets the vision and founds new AINS companies.

Jurjen brings ten years of experience in strategy consulting and private equity. He graduated cum laude in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen and holds a master’s in Finance from the University of Amsterdam. He started his career at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), where he spent five years on more than 25 engagements across sectors. He then joined Anders Invest, a Dutch private equity fund, as an investment manager focused on food and agri. Since 2025 he has worked as an independent strategy consultant and investment manager, combining strategy, value creation and M&A. Along the way he taught himself agentic engineering, which let him go beyond defining the right strategy and value-creation plan. He now builds AI tools that enhance his own consulting work, as well as complete AI systems that help clients become AI-native. At Emergenic he leads strategy and AINS venture building.

Cor has built information technology systems for more than ten years. As Field CTO at Xebia, he built data and AI platforms for regulated and data-heavy clients, led an eight-person platform team and trained teams at more than twenty organisations. As a builder, he is a core contributor to open-source data software, has sold financial data through Nasdaq Data Link and has trained a deep neural network to estimate heights from aerial imagery. He holds a bachelor’s in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology and a master’s in Data Science from the University of Amsterdam. At Emergenic he owns the technical core: the software stack for our AI-native service companies.
