This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It counts page views in our own Azure subscription and keeps those counts for one year.

What the site collects
When you open a page, our page statistics record the page you opened, the page that linked you here, the country and city your connection comes from, and the type of browser and device you use. If you download the ladder document or click a contact link, that click is counted too.
Your IP address is used once, to work out the country and city, and is then discarded. It is not stored and we never see it. Nothing in the statistics identifies you as a person, and we do not try to link visits to each other or to anyone.
No cookies
The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is nothing to accept and no banner to close. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the statistics record nothing at all.
Where the data is kept
The statistics run on Microsoft Azure Application Insights, in a subscription that Emergenic owns, in Microsoft's West Europe region. The counts are kept for one year and then deleted. We do not pass them to anyone else.
Why we collect this
We want to know which pages people read and where they come from, so we can write what is useful. That is our legitimate interest under the General Data Protection Regulation and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. Because nothing identifies you, there is nothing to correct or delete, but you are welcome to ask us anything about it.
If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply in our mailbox, and we use them only to answer you.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
